SATHYA SAI BABA - "My life is my message"

All that we do and everything that happens to us are steps of the spiritual path

All that we do and everything that happens to us are steps of the spiritual path

Sathya Sai Baba is the divine incarnation of our era. He was not just a philosopher who commented on the Bhagavad Gita and the New Testament, spoke about the teachings of Krishna, Christ and Buddha. Sathya Sai Baba possessed tremendous superhuman strength.

The scale of his energy was so great that people approaching the ashram could feel his special energy over a distance of 40 kilometers. There was a feeling that something unusual was going to happen, the soul was filled with joy and peace. It was a truly unique experience that many recalled. Divine vibrations pervaded the travelers, people felt that they were entering a special sacred place, their thoughts calmed down, the whole atmosphere was filled with light.

The closer we got to the ashram, the more intense the sensations of joy and bliss became. Finally, when travelers arrived in Puttaparthi, the sensation of miracle peaked. It seemed that this place was somewhere far in heaven, it was difficult to believe that you were on earth.

In India and elsewhere in the world, there are spiritual teachers who can work with hundreds, and sometimes with several thousand students. The power of Sathya Sai Baba was huge, he was able to help tens of millions of people, and in such a way that everyone felt a personal spiritual connection with him.

Sathya Sai Baba was able to change the most diverse situations and circumstances of people's lives with the help of his miraculous power. He transformed all levels of human being. Being in close proximity to Sathya Sai Baba, people experienced subtle spiritual states. His blessings also manifested themselves physically - healing from serious illnesses, protection in dangerous situations, finding a happy family life, building successful business projects.

The spiritual search should take place in harmony with successful material circumstances. Very often people see the spiritual path only as a practice of prayer and meditation. In fact, everything that happens in life and everything that we do are steps on the spiritual path. Good health, a happy family, successful career and business, scientific research and artistic creativity are all components of the spiritual evolution of a man.

Unfortunately, some mistakenly and artificially divide life into the separately existing “spirituality” and “materiality”. Sathya Sai Baba perceived life in unity, hence, his blessings affected all levels and aspects of human existence: spiritual and intellectual development, as well as good health, well-being of the family and financial abundance.

"My life is my message"

Sathya Sai Baba was born on November 23, 1926 in Southern India, in the state of Andra Pradesh, in a small village called Puttaparthi. During his long life he regularly visited various large cities of India, such as Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore, but preferred to spend most of his time in his native village.

Sathya Sai Baba often repeated "My life is my message." Of course, it is very important that Sathya Sai Baba spoke to visitors during personal communication or his lectures, but the most important was his life. It is important to know how he lived and what we can learn from him by studying his long and bright life path.

In my opinion, his very birth in a tiny remote Indian village is a great lesson that he gives to the whole world and to each of us. Thanks to Sathya Sai Baba, over time Puttaparthi from a small impoverished village turned into a beautiful oriental oasis. It does not matter where and how we begin our life journey, but it is important who we are in essence. Sathya Sai Baba was born in very adverse conditions, but by the power of his divine energy he was able to transform everything around.

In the 20s of the early 20th century, at the time of Sathya Sai Baba’s birth, Puttaparthi was a tiny village, it had several small streets and a small number of inhabitants.

In order to buy the most necessary things such as a jug for water, local residents had to walk a few kilometers to the neighboring village, which was located on the other side of the full-flowing river Chitravati. There was a bazaar in the neighboring village on Sundays and the locals wade across the river to buy the most basic things. In those days, there was not even a bridge over the river.

The nature of Puttaparthi is famous for its splendor. The village is surrounded by the extraordinary beauty of the mountains. The highest mountain in the area is called Sai Kailash, it has three peaks. There is dense vegetation everywhere, the Chitravati River flows along a picturesque valley, many small ponds and springs - a truly fertile land. I think that anyone who comes to Puttaparthi will immediately notice the amazing beauty of this place.

Half of the villagers professed Islam, and the other half were Hindus. In the middle of the village was a tiny square, which has survived to this day. There were several tiny ancient Hindu temples on this square. In the Islamic part of the village there was a small mosque, which is also preserved.

I met Sathya Sai Baba devotees who came to Puttaparthi in 1950s. They told me how this place looked in those times. Almost everyone mentioned that getting from the nearest town to Puttaparthi was extremely difficult, the carts drove slowly along narrow and broken roads.
